  1. Eric Geoffroy says:

An idea occurred to me. There’s an additional beneficial use for your association. I was thinking about the ‘hypnosis in the news’ segment that is a fixture in the podcasts. Too often a story appears that gets hypnosis wrong. When this occurs perhaps the Professional Hypnotherapy Association could contact the paper or the writer directly and straighten out the misconceptions. Ideally it would be a large well-known organization like the APA. But why not your network? You could take it in turns to write well-crafted letters regarding articles about hypnosis- praising the ones that get it right, and correcting the others. It’s an uphill battle for sure. Trying to take away the mystique and bringing sensational headlines down to earth is a tough sell to a writer, but it might be worth it in the long term.

Hello Eric, this is one of my favourite comments to date here on the podcast and a brilliant idea indeed. Thank you very much for taking the time to write and suggest this. I am going to share it with my colleagues right away.

Have a wonderful day, my very best wishes to you, Adam.
